If you are missing medicine which you urgently need, you can contact the organization and we will make sure that your physician provides you with this medication as soon as possible. (The medicine can only be administered by the doctor).

 

Portable oxygen

 

From within our family of patients someone has generously donated to the PHA a portable oxygen generator that can deliver up to five liters per minute. The device has an extra battery so that it can be used for up to five hours at a stretch (depending on the number of liters/minute setting chosen). The device can be recharged from any outlet, including a car lighter. The device will be loaned to patients, upon request, for a limited time. Hopefully more concentrators will be donated, allowing us to loan these devices for longer periods.

 

 

Pulse Oximeters

 

The Association has purchased several pulse oximeters – a device that tests the level of oxygenation in the blood and your pulse. The device takes these measurements when placed on your finger.In general patients do not need to check their blood oxygenation unless they are not feeling well or when instructed by a doctor.
